We’ve just changed plans on 2 iphones to the iPhone 30 day all round plan whilst abroad. The plan is excellent (and only obtainable via CS or retentions) for our current needs. However the customer service agent never mentioned any ‘service charge’ and it’s a one off on top of the monthly fee. We’ve never had to pay this before whilst on previous trips abroad. I can’t find any mention of it in the T’s & C’s.
I’ve emailed CS to enquire why this fee has been added for each phone and different values too, and wonder if it’s a mistake as these only to the supply /connection of hardware as far as I can tell and not plans, be they temporary or otherwise. I await their reply. Anyone able to advise please?

Hi I’ve just sussed it out. It’s part the current months new plan charges (minus what was left of the previous plan) on each device plus next months charge- makes it look a little steep and it would has been better had it said this. Next month when we get back home and revert back to our normal plan(s) we should be in credit.
Thanks for your interest.

Hi @500inter
Roaming charges? Unless your plan includes these (some old plans had this benefit) then these will be charged if you want to use your device abroad.
What was the name of the charge.
Thanks
