Since receiving standard calls and text throughout the European Community is free of charge why is this information not clearly stated on the EE website? If this is somewhere, for the life of me I have not managed to find it.
everywhere I check it’s always making calls. I always have a local SIM card for data where I go but my UK SIM card still receives calls and it’s as important to receive them as to make them.

Receiving calls within the EU is covered by a daily/monthly charge, depending which add-on you choose. Receiving texts is free globally.

you see this is exactly my problem. as per your screenshot again it's seen from the point of view if you pay for the daily charge your incoming calls are covered. BUT what if you do not activate that daily charge, what happens when calls come in and you accept them, will the daily charge be activated? I don't think so as I have never been charged for incoming calls as long as I roam within the EU!
Can someone please get to the facts?!

Hi @Devizes2008.
If you were to receive a call whilst roaming and roaming is not included within your plan you will activate the Roam Abroad Pass for £2.47 per day.
