Strange call from EE Customer Services and a reset password email

I've just had a similar call from 020 3409 8017. It sounded like an Indian call centre . They said I would receive a pin for an id reset and then phoned back and asked what the pin was.

You've done the right thing in being suspicious of this call.

While our teams may call at times and need to send you a security PIN, this isn't a number we use, and our teams would do it all on the call without the need to call back.
