Is there no way to switch to paperless bill online? My letter from EE says I can.

Let's stop pretending. We all know that it's very difficult to switch to paperless because it doesn't suit EE for us to do that.

After spending 20 mins unsuccessfully trying to switch to paperless billing through my account I tried the mobile care team where it was a further 30 mins before they were able to make my billing paperless. Clearly this is unacceptable - it should take 2 mins online. I suspect ee don't want to lose the considerable income they get from customers having itemised bills.

My EE goes further, saying that this add-on (paperless billing) cannot be removed. It has to be just a money-making directive when the ethical and moral position is to make this a one click request.

@timc4 : What's the problem? Paperless billing is free! It's itemised billing that costs you each month.

If only this were true. I spent 40 mins talking to one of your team who appeared to have no idea of how do do this. I was promised a call back, but still waiting. I live in hope but am not holding my breath.

@IvanJ That’s how I stopped paper billing years ago and it took minutes to change. Perhaps call again as this shouldn’t require a call back from customer services
