Not true at all....

Wow EE how disgusting is your customer service. For over a year on my app it's been showing that I was eligible to upgrade 10th June 2024 ring up to discuss options and to be informed EE have pushed it back to 25th June 2024. No notification no explanation when I questioned I was told I'm not the only one many others customers have rang up with the same issue. I have been a contract customer since 2008 this is shady what else do you change without informing customers and regards to their contract....

Hi @Katiegray84

Thanks for coming to the community.

You can upgrade without a fee if you’ve got less than 30 days until your plan ends.

You can find full up to date information on upgrading in our When can I upgrade my phone? Help page.

Leanne.

@Katiegray84 : It's a consequence of a recent change in the upgrade window of 45 days before end of min. term to now only 30 days before.

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP
That's shocking and a breach of contract

Just what contract term would that breach?

The only contractual obligation of EE's is:

We want Our customers to stay with Us, but We don’t have to provide You with an Upgrade or Renewal.

Thus upgrades are purely at EE's whim!
