I have received the email ref the price I increase

could someone explain why my total bill has gone up. I have a phone on contract but part of my monthly bill is paying for my  I phone and the rest is for the service surly the increase should only be on the service element not on the purchase of the phone.

EE have no concept of splitting the phone & airtime elements - you have one single monthly payment covering all your services.

To achieve an increase on just your airtime element, you would need to purchase your phones SIM-free outright, and then have a SIM-only plan for your airtime usage.

It seems that’s the easy answer my monthly allowance is available as a sim only surely the difference is for the purchase of the phone.
Can I take an early upgrade to sim only.

@mrstevepearce26    You can have a device tariff and airtime tariff as EE now offer this.   You have to call customer service to request this when you next upgrade, if EE are doing this like other networks the device contract will probably be 3 years.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Once you have passed your minimum contractual term - or are within 45 days of it in some cases, then yes.

I know it can be tough but best option is always buy phone outright first and then do a sim only deal. This is exactly what I do every time and in long run you will also save quite a bit of cash.
