Hi. I have had two messages about my spend cap. One at 3am this morning, and one at 8am, both saying different things about my spend cap. Last one said my cap of 30.00 has been removed, but I only have a cap of 10.00. is it scam texts?

@Jokinoby64  You need to call customer services about this so they can check your account.     Also I would recommend that you change your EE account login password.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I went in to my account and nothing has changed? My spend cap is as I set it.

Hi @Jokinoby64

Do you have the number which the text came from?

Katie

It came from 150. I hear scammers can make it look like it's from any number?

I can't imagine what a scammer would have to gain from a message about your spend cap.

Scammers would want you to enter some personal details and/or call a premium-rate number - neither of which applies here.

There were links to follow, which I haven't clicked on obviously. Maybe I'm being over cautious, but 2nd text contradicted the first one. Just weird, and I've never had one at 3am before. Maybe the EE text bot has gone crazy?!

Can you post the exact text of the messages you received, verbatim?
