I moved to New Zealand in October and I want to keep my uk phone number as it’s used to verify everything. It’s also my WhatsApp etc, I pay an insane ammount per month and I want to lower my plan down as it did actually expire. But ee make it incredibly hard to do stuff like this on your own

any ideas ?

@Jackh235    It’s not hard you just login to your EE account and click upgrade.  You then select sim only and choose the tariff.   Or you call customer support and do this over the phone.

You would be better off financially by have a sim from a local network.    No uk network is recommended for long stays abroad especially if you’ve now moved to that location.    Roaming is 2 months out of any 4 months period.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

The obvious answer to any "I'm moving abroad" question is to migrate to PAYG and just ensure you incur chargeable usage at least once every 179days. The issue you have is this cannot be done whilst you are already abroad, your "new" PAYG SIM needs to be activated in the UK.

Hence your only option will be to change plan to a lower-priced one - assuming you want your PAYG to work in NZ.
