My contract ended a while ago but it appears I’m still being charged for my handset within the rolling contract. I called ee and was told a text was sent( no context) for me to contact them and that was it. All that happened during that call was mostly apologies, no resolution. Has this happened to anyone else? Does this even sound right??
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

That shows 3 months though not clear if that's "all" as claimed

Indeed so. One could speculate on the timeline here, either way - but 3 months does appear rather arbitrary a figure.

I got all my out of contract charges back. EE contacted me after going to cm ombudsmen and very apologetically offered the full refund. I find it strange that some users are trying to bash anyone who raises any customers complaints. Anyone reading this, do reject offers if it is not full refund, cm ombudsmen will have your back.

Once a complaint has been referred to ADR, the provider in question usually will refer all future communication to them. In many cases they will be doing so because of the final position letter having been issued.
It would be extremely unusual for any provider to hold any position for a length of time, and then suddenly change their mind because of an ADR referral.
For any user to suggest that Ombudsman Services will adjudicate in a particular way, is naive in the extreme. They will judge each case on the individual merits, and so they should. To suggest that stating this is to discourage others from pursuing a complaints route, is just laughable.

Please don’t listen to these people — take your complaint to the Communications Ombudsman.
I was initially offered nothing. When I said I wanted to escalate, they reviewed it and offered half of the money back. I rejected that and escalated again. They then threatened to withdraw the offer if I escalated and not accepted it but I still rejected it. After the final decision, I was again offered only half of the money.
I took the case to the Ombudsman, and less than a week later — just a day or two after it was allocated to an investigator — EE contacted me and offered a full refund. 😎💪
