No way to cancel card with EE Enfield

Hello!

My name is Daniel and I had the worst experience for three days straight.

At 02.10.2022 I bought a subscription plan from guy called “Hamza” from EE Enfield.

The guy was nice at the beginning,I explained that I need a sim card with a lot of GB which can be used in small office for when we have problem’s with the internet to use the internet from the sim card also to be used as a phone.He made his checks, everything should be fine I made the contract.

I tried the card during the week and found that,in this specific place is worthless otherwise i’m happy with EE services and wanted to return it.I went to the store at 08.10.2022 to try to return the card.First the people working there said they can only sell and cannot return nothing and to call customer service for cancelation.So that’s what I did I called 08009566000 from xxxxxxxxxxx and started waiting.After some waiting I get answered and explained my situation to the customer services guy who was very supportive and said that he can’t cancel my subscription form and asked to speak with someone from the staff.At that moment everyone started going away from me and I felt deeply disturbed.They tried to avoid me but the man called Khamza finally decided to take the phone and speak with customer service.After 5 minutes talking, the guy from the staff passed me the phone.The customer service man said that the manager is ill at the moment and only he is allowed to cancel my subscription and try again tomorrow please I said thanks for the support and closed.

The staff member women that was there while I was waiting, which name I didn’t remember either was extremely rude and after she heard that I need to come tomorrow, she said better come at Wednesday or Thursday laughing.Never been threatened like this before.The other guy Hamza who sold me the plan disappeared somewhere, and i’m just sitting there the staff members start speaking with other customers and i’m left clueless.

So the employees said my plan to be canceled only by the phone, thru the phone they saying to wait till the manager is back at the store.Nobody knows when the manager will be back so I need to go everyday to check if the manager is there to cancel my subscription leaving me 6 days within my 14 days period after that i’m tied by documents to pay every month 23 pounds every month for 24 momths.Lost 1 day from job at Friday to try to fix it, get absent from university at Saturday and still couldn’t manage to fix it.Now I need to go every day of the week because if I don’t my receipt will be pointless and they will direct debit my account every month for something that is not working for me.That is putting me in a trap where cancellation is impossible.

Please if anyone can help me this guys to get responsibility for their job.

@Danielvange  As it was a store sale only the store can terminate the contract because of poor to no coverage.  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thank you for your reply! I will try tomorrow again.

Is it possible the staff from EE Enfield trying to exploit me in fraud or some kind of scam and should I report them to the government?

If you purchased the SIM in one of our stores and you’re experiencing coverage issues, you would need to return this to the store. You can find full details in our Returning a phone or device within 14 days, Help page.

Yeah and that’s exactly what I have done.But the staff there didn’t allow me to cancel it in a very rude way and asked me to call Customer Service who told me the same thing as you, thats why I’m writing here.

Didn’t give me a letter or something to prove that I have been there too and that’s why I’m suspicious its a fraud.If I don’t get this Sim card canceled till the end of the week i’m tied to them.

I will do today.If they not let me do it with excuse that their manager isn’t there what should I do?

The contract would have been set up in store for you with all details taken and you can view the plan and dates within your My EE account. Please get back in touch with the store and let me know what happens.
