Moving my phone contract but leaving my watch contract

Hi there,

I have an expired phone contract (sim only) that I want to move to a much better deal with a different provider, but I also have an Apple Watch contract on the go at the moment.  My question is, can I move my phone sim only contract away but leave my watch contract, and still have the two function together as they currently do?  Or do I have to move both?  My watch is still in contract so I'm not sure how that would work.

Thanks,

Lee.

Hi @lackers,

Welcome to the EE Community

In order for the watch cellular functions to work, the phone numbers it is linked to does need to be on the same account. So if you were to move your phone contract to another network the watch would not be able to be used when out of range of the phone. However it would still function over Bluetooth as normal when in range of the phone.

If you have not already it would be worth speaking to our cancellations team to see if they are able to do a deal for you similar to the one you have seen.
