Moving from pay as you go to pay monthly contract

Hi,

I am looking into moving from Pay as you go to pay monthly and I want to keep my current number which it says I am able to do. Will I be able to continue using my current phone and SIM card while waiting for my new phone to arrive or as soon as I hit checkout will it be cut off? And will I be given a new SIM or can I continue to use my current one?

Thanks

@Vicky127 : If you just order a new phone from the EE Shop, you will just get a new no. with it. It will have no bearing or effect on your current PAYG no.

You need to order & do the switch from PAYG or Flex online using Switch to pay monthly and save . Your existing PAYG credit will be carried over as credit towards your future bills. You keep your existing SIM & no. The plan on it is just switched to contract.

Thank you.

So if I was to order and start a new pay monthly contract online and state that I want to continue using my PAYG number with my new contract, it just gets amended and I can continue with my existing SIM? Will the contract start straight away before the new phone arrives?

No, I don't think you can do that. You need to order thro' the link I gave you. Otherwise there is no linkage between a new contract phone bought in the shop & your existing PAYG.
