Every single month my bill is hiked up with a ‘late payment fee’ of £7+ which appears about a week before my bill is even due! I can’t afford to be paying extra when my bill is so high to begin with. And getting hold of EE is always a pain as I can never get through! Every single month! I’ve been with EE for years but I’m honestly considering leaving for another (much cheaper) network!

@Tloue You only get late fees if you don’t pay on time. Are you 100% sure you are paying on time ? Your bill is paid for the month ahead not in arrears.

@Beau1324 Providing your paying before 29 days of your payment date this will not show up on your credit score it’s only classed as a late payment. If it gets to 30 days then yes it will as this point you’ll also have a 2nd bill as you are billed every 30 days.

What are the rules for this £7 late payment fee? If I am 1 day late will I get a £7 late payment fee?

Hi @cromulence
Thanks for coming here.
You can find information on the late payment fee in our Help if you can't pay your bill, Help page.

@cromulence a late payment is a late payment from 1 day past your payment date. You agreed to pay on time when you took out the contract. You get billed you pay that bill within 7 days. You should be receiving a text/email to say you’ve bill is due. That when is best to pay it.
