Incorrect Cifas Marker

Does anybody have the correct email address to lodge a complaint with EE about a Cifas marker they have placed on me. The marker appears to be for not supplying a previous address, that I have not lived in for over 10 years, don't they only need three years of address history?

Thanks in advance for any help given here.

Hi @ryryutlr

If you have obtained a DSAR from EE, then you need to dispute the record here:

https://www.cifas.org.uk/contact-us/I-Want-To-Make-A-Complaint

To add this maker there must be more than you are suggesting as these are for serious issues such as fraud.

Thanks

Well it’s weird because it states the reason for filing is: “Undisclosed address with adverse credit data”. They listed the addresses uses in my application which are correct (current and one previous), then list my parents address at the bottom, stating it wasn’t included on the application. I’ve since been on the EE site and started a new order, and once the three years of history is filled in, it doesn’t ask for any more history.

Yes, my credit rating may not have been the best at that moment in time however, I feel being marked as a fraudulent application for not declaring an address I have not lived in for over ten years is a bit of a stretch.

Everything else on the Cifas report is accurate and there’s no markers from any other credit suppliers.
