Hi. It was by telephone on 4th August. The guy I spoke to told me that my last payment would be on Septembers bill. I ‘think’ I had a letter but no messages or emails but I would have to check.

If you have given 30days cancellation notice and this has not been acted upon, then you have valid cause for query with EE CS. They have access to your account.

Did you cancel and just want the number to terminate, or did you request a PAC to take the number elsewhere?
If you asked for a PAC, and not used it, EE wouldn't cancel the account and it would just roll on again.
As @bristolian says though, contact EE and ask why and let us know what happens.

It was just a straightforward cancellation for a tablet.
