Horrible Experience Trying to Sign up for EE

Before I start, I would like to say I was excited to join EE after hearing such great things about the network. It is regarded as the most reliable, consistent network in London and I was ready to ditch my current provider.

On 20 July i submitted an online order for a 24 month contract for 2 lines and immediately received an email that my order was approved and the SIMs would be dispatched soon. I heard nothing from EE after that.

After 7 days I called and was put on hold for an hour before giving up. The next day (day 😎 I was put on hold for 45 minutes before I was finally connected to a guide. He then told me the order was not dispatched because the credit check had not been run yet. I received no contact alerting me that anything was still outstanding with the order. Only after 8 days and 1 hour 45 minutes of hold time was I told this.

After finally running my credit check, I was told I was approved for only one line. One, not two.  I'm not going to transfer just myself over to EE, it needs to be both me and my wife. I told the guide this and he told me there was nothing he can do. I ask if I could pay the entire contract value for both lines up front and he said no. Is this really how EE operates? If I can't get two lines I will not be bringing any business over to EE.

Hi @thebossbent421

As the EE operator said your credit is insufficient for EE to offer you two contracts currently. That simple.

Nothing to say you couldn't obtain another line in the future if you keep up payments.
