The other day the app said that December is paid and I’m all good but today my direct debit has gone out. Anyone know why?

my account was in credit because we just got a new phone and paid a lot of the upfront cost, the credit amount was about £130 to £160 I don’t quite remember

Hello @ItsNorik,

Welcome to the EE Community

When you pay by direct debit once it is past the point the direct debit can be cancelled, the status will show as paid in your online account as the payment will be attempted and cannot be stopped at that point.

If the direct debit attempt were to fail the online account would update to show it as unpaid and you would be sent a text to alert you. The actual date your direct debit will be taken is always 8 days after your bill date and if that falls on a working day it will go out the next working day.

In terms of your credit this will go against the upfront cost will be on your bill as an equipment charge which the credit will cover which you should be able to see on the PDF of your bill if you open it up.
