Did you mean:

Greedy network

20 years of loyalty with T-Mobile then EE and as I got older my sight isn’t the same and needed a bigger phone.

Vodafone approached me not my network for 20 years to offer me a deal for iPhone 14 pro max.
I called EE thinking they’ll match it but the retention was condescending and told me “we are the best network but not the cheapest”

imagine thats what they tell you for 20 years wasted loyalty. Wow!

I actually vouched for EE with my employer years ago for our business phones but this is an error I’ll be correcting this December when contracts are up for renewal.

I’ll make sure every one I recommended EE to will know they’re just a greedy company that cares about profits only.
how many 20 years do we have in one life.
Don’t waste your life with a network that reward your loyalty by asking you to pay more than other networks.
that’s a punishment not a reward for loyalty.

Sorry to say but all networks are the same, they all now offer the same to all customers, never mind the length of time they customer has been with them...

The only people who might get a discount, if any are those who spend £1K+ a month.

You are also asking for a deal on a very desirable phone, that is in serious supply constraints and Vodafone are quoting between 2 and 6 weeks for delivery, and apple are quoting 6 weeks for direct.

So EE aren't been greedy, just a business doing what they would do for any product that where demand outstrips supply

EE have never claimed to be the cheapest network, but do have pride in their quality - perhaps the agent didn't express this in the best manner but they have never price-matched other providers.

As others have suggested, the "latest & greatest" iPhone is always a desirable phone that comes with a matching price tag. New-customer incentives are nothing new in the telecoms industry.

@MojoMan40   Was that Vodaphone offer where you purchase the device over 36 months and the tariff is 24 months ?  That’s helps keep the monthly cost down for a start.
