Hi, I notice that I had extra charges to my bill, ie charges of up to £2.50 for texts. This is surprising as I had not sent texts on the days I was charged for. Also, I am definitely not sending any more texts than usual, so not sure why I have been charged. many thanks

Hi @Flo122
There are a number of reasons why you have may have higher-rate charges for text messages, the most common are for service text messages, such as Radio/TV competitions or charity donations.
You can find out more about this at Charge purchases to your EE Mobile bill

I have been getting these messages also. Some are for £2.50 and some are for 22p. I dont send texts as I use WhatsApp so no idea what these charges are for. My husband is getting the messages too. Neither of us do competitions or anything like that.

Hi @megshomebakes,
Welcome to the EE Community
If you check the PDF of your full bill you should be able to see exactly what you are being charged for, if they are charges from another company the bill will have a short code or name for the charges which you can input here for the contact information.
If they are charges from another company you can bar these type of charges on your number if you like. If you have just one number on the account you can do so by texting BAR to 150. If you have more than one number on the account just give us a call to add the bar.
