Excessive price increase increased poor service

I have just been informed of the price increase of EE mobile phones. I have been a loyal customer for a large number of years including Orange before then. Yet the service they provide is shocking. Everyday my phone drops the call at exactly the same spot despite EE bring given planning permission for a 15 meter mast in September last year- they constantly say there is nothing wrong with the service in the area and to try WiFi calls. Even contacting the customer service is woefully poor. I entered into a contract 18 months ago yet they can increase the price. How do I get out of my contract now?  Even GiffGaff can provide a better phone signal in the area. I’m constantly reporting the lack of signal we it’s no improvement coming.

You mention there's no improvement coming, but also refer to planning consent being given for a new network site.

That would self-evidently suggest that coverage improvements are planned.
