Ending my contract when it finishes

Hi, i've been with EE for ages but as the 'upgrade' offers are so poor i've decided it's time to look elsewhere.

My contract end date is 08/09/2022, if i start a new contract with another network the following day and request my PAC code from EE, is there anything else i have to do? I've seen something about a 30 day notice, does this apply when the contract has ended? If so, when should the 30 day period start?

The 30-day notice does not apply when you port your no. to another network on or after your contract min. term end date.
