End of contract

I came to the end of my contract 2 months ago, at the end of every other mobile contract I've had the price auto drops as you've paid off the device, this has not happened with EE, do I have to go through the pain in the **bleep** process of switching to a SIM only?? If so why is this the case??? Just to keep getting more money from people??!!

In the 38 years of having Mobile Contracts with the various Main Network Providers, I've never had a Auto Price Drop after my Contract ends, you must have been with a specific Supplier who does this.

But as you say, best way to save some money after your Phone Contract ends is to go Sim Only.

Hi @elenaelliott1

https://ee.co.uk/help/profile/leaving-ee/end-of-contract-notification-and-out-of-contract-discount

When will I get an end of contract notification?

We’ll send you a reminder at least 14 days before your contract ends.

We’ll also tell you what offers, deals and tariffs are available, which are based on your data usage and current price plan.

You will  get a 10% discount after 3 months.

Thanks

Really!!! Even when signing up it states the contract length, the device repayments pcm, and airtime amount pcm, so why on earth would I continue paying for a device that I've already paid off????? Think I'll just leave EE because of this, just money grabbing!!!

You even sell your contracts with a device monthly amount, and airtime monthly amount so how on earth am I still contracted into paying for a device I've already paid for?????? Makes zero sense!!! I'll be leaving EE because of this and going back to a more honest company who don't rip me off after I've paid for the device!!

Hi @elenaelliott1

It's in black and white on the EE website and your contract. Plus the text you would have received as mentioned above and discount you will receive. But of course it is EE fault.

Good luck and I suggest you read your contract in future.

Thanks
