I have a phone contract which ended 30.09, so I’m looking to upgrade. As a household we also have my partners phone and Broadland with EE all paid from 3 different bank accounts.
im looking to combine under an EE one customer. The broadband and my partners phone are under the same email so he is already an EE one customer but doesnt get EE one customer benefits because he has a 20% discount on his mobile plan. We have been told I can “link” my phone by some button in the app (which doesn’t exist) and I can then upgrade and take benefit of the EE one customer deals. If i transfer ownership him to him I can’t upgrade for 6 months and he’s due an upgrade in 6 months, EE has advised this isn’t do able and we’d both be locked out to upgrade for 1 year.
do I just upgrade and forget about EE one customer and its benefits or can someone explain this mystery “button” so I can link my phone to his account along with his phone and our broadband, upgrade and get EE one customer benefits. I’ve already done 2 store trips and had a2 hour phone call to customer service. I just need some advice / help! Please !!

Then you are definitely able to upgrade after transferring ownership, so long as you are at eligible point in your contract which it sounds like you are @TLG26

Hi @TLG26
Welcome to our community.
I'm sorry this has been such a confusing experience for you. Are you currently on a business plan?
The 6 months wait would only apply if you are moving from a business plan to your partners domestic account, or you are currently on a SIM only plan which you mentioned you are on a phone contract. If neither of these apply, you wouldn't have to wait 6 months before upgrading and would be able to get the EE One benefits.

No he’s not on a business plan and neither am I. We both have domestic accounts with mobile phone contacts.
Can you send me a step by step instructions on how to link my account to my partners so I can take advantage of Ee one customer benefits and then upgrade my iPhone. This is different advice that I have received from in-store and over the phone. Would really appreciate some help please

Hi @TLG26
Once you've done a change of ownership with our Customer Support team, you would have everything under the same EE ID.
That's all done from our side. They'll go through everything with you over the phone.
