Downgrade SIM only plan

I'm currently outside of both of my SIM-only contracts but looking to downgrade my account and stay with EE. I am seeing plans elsewhere for around £5 for 12gb p/month and hoped to get that deal matched. Has anyone managed to downgrade a plan successfully? I am outside of the UK currently so couldn't call EE to check my options and all options online are currently no better than my current plan. Any advice @Sean_D ? Thanks

If you want to negotiate a deal you'll need to speak to EE CS on 150.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.
