Does EE's final bill always apply a termination charge after you port yr number?

Hello.  My current EE contract will end on 1 October and my final (24th) bill will be paid on 10 September.  As I never incur out-of-allowance usage charges (Spend Cap £0), am I 'safe' to port my number to a new provider between mid-Sep and 1 Oct?

I will be going abroad on 5 Oct, so I'm really keen to get the transfer to the new provider completed before I leave and not have to do it over the weekend at the last minute.

How soon after you port does EE issue their final bill?  And what kind of termination charge could be applied if you're fully paid up (and ported) before the last day of your 24-month contract?

I'd be very grateful for help with these questions.

Hi @Lupin1

You can find out more information about your final bill at Final bill and charges explained | EE

But from what you have said- your 10th Sept bill should cover you to the 9th October.
So your final bill will be a pro-ratad credit from the date you leave until the 9th October.

As your contract ends 1st October, If you leave before the 1st Oct, you will only be charged a termination fee to cover from the day you leave until the 1st Oct.
This should be be covered by the pro-rated refund you'll receive, and anything remaining will be refunded back to you.
