Does BT discount and double data apply in year 2 and subsequent years?

I use BT broadband and I had 3 BT mobile SIMS for the family. As BT Mobile said they were moving to EE, I moved the Sims to a 24 month EE contract, which has just expired.

The deal gave me 10% off the EE sim and double data. The SIMs I got were £10/month for 10Gb - so with the deals, that meant they cost £9/month for 20Gb each. With inflation over the two years, that means these sims now cost me £35.02.month, or £11.67 each/month. There is no speed cap on these sims.

So the nearest similar offer on the the EE website is £12/month for 20Gb/month and a max speed of 100Mb/s. So if I switched, it looks like I would pay more for the same monthly limit, and I would also have a speed limit imposed where there wasn't before. So it seems like it is a no brainer not to 'upgrade' my sim?

Obviously, this would change if I still gained the 10% discount and double data, for being a BT customer - so the sims would cost me £10.80/month for 40Gb. It's just that the website make no mention of this?

Anyone got any comments about whether I can apply the BT benefits onto this 'upgrade' or if the BT customer benefit doesn't apply?

Hi @bejb

Thanks for coming to our community.

If your broadband and mobile online accounts are linked, any eligible discounts and special offers should automatically be applied. Are these prices the same when you aren't logged in?
