Did I ring a safe EE number?

I rang 0800 079 8586 to cancel a product.

i am concerned after research that it may not have been a safe/legitimate EE number.

can anyone confirm either way?

0800 0798586 is a legitimate EE number.

Just a lot of places seem to think it’s a scam number.

Also I have had no confirmation of the cancellation and it still shows on my app/account.

Nowhere that I can find! I've Google searched the number and the results look pretty clear to me.

What product is it that you're trying to cancel?

It was a Sim Only Apple Watch that the contract had finished in Jan 2025.

i recently changed providers for my mobile phone and the watch was still on the EE account so I just wanted to cancel it so that account no longer had products on it.

Thanks for reaching out here on the community. 

The number you have called is a legitimate EE number. 

When did you put in your cancellation request? You are required to give 30 days notice when you cancel your watch plan.
