Contract ended

Hi there,

My contract ended last month, however I do not wish to update my handset. I have recently received a letter, to say that my monthly charge will remain the same, however I wonder how this can be as I have now finished paying for the handset? And should now only pay for the data (Inc minutes and texts) so surely this should reduce the price?

Can @anyone advice what I need to do?

Thanks in advance.

@GaryLew88  you will receive a reduced rate of 10% three months after your contract minimum term,  should you wish to have a lower tariff now then upgrade to a sim only contract and continue using your current device.

EE's contracts have no concept of paying off the handset. You agreed to pay the same price for the full duration of the contract. There will however be a 10% discount 3 months after the end of min. term. You may always choose to upgrade your contract to a cheaper SIM-Only contract from the last 45 days of your contract term.
