Hi EE,
I have left the U.K. and I need to cancel my direct debit.
Can you confirm the steps required to cancel this but keep my U.K. number.
Regards,
Jacob

@JacobCoan1 You can cancel a DD directly with your bank, but if it’s the service from EE you want to cancel then you will need to speak to them and give a 30 day notice period,if you are still in contract this may incur a fee depending on how long you have left.

It's not the DD you cancel but the contract itself.
You need to contact EE giving 30 days notice of cancellation of your mobile contract & ask for it to be transferred to PAYG. If you are still within your min term you will be liable to pay early termination fees for the rest of the term. It will basically be months left x monthly charge - 20%.

@JacobCoan1 Just to point out you can not change over to PAYG when outside the UK as the sim will not do this unless you are connected to the EE network.

You can change to PAYG in order to keep your no. when outside the UK but you just can't use it until you return to the UK. Also you should use it within 6 months to keep it alive.
