Hi, I'm trying to cancel and get a PAC for my contract, I am 28 days away from the contract ending, but the advisor wants to charge me an early termination charge of £81.98?
Bit confused, will this be the next monthly payment due or is this on top of it? I thought I could cancel without penalty?
Clearly missing something so if anyone can explain in simple terms please (!!) and be kind 😉 that would be much appreciated - thank you

@Noctu If you’re within the last 30 days of the contract you shouldn’t be charged. You are bill in advance so you’ve already paid the remaining monthly bill.
What does texting INFO to 85075 report back

Thanks Chris. I get the following:
Hi from EE. [number] is part of a multiple subscription account so are not able to complete this request by text. The account holder will need to log into ee.co.uk/myee or call 150 to request your switching information, PAC or STAC. You can find out more at ee.co.uk/leavingus Thanks.
However when I log into the EE website and go to the PAC bit it says:
Contract ends: 23 March 2025
If you leave EE and switch to a new mobile provider, you'll need to pay the remaining contract charges for [number] which are:
You'll be charged this amount in your final bill from EE.
Be aware, if you have multiple numbers on your account, you may lose any associated discounts you have by choosing to cancel a contract or leaving EE - please call 150 to discuss your options.

@Noctu As it’s part of a multi line account I have to ask did customer support have the correct line you wish to terminate?
23-02-2025 12:19 PM
As far as I know, yes - both lines have the same end date and I want to terminate both anyway. Quite confused!

They did ask which line I was referring to and I gave them both numbers and explained which one was mine but that I wanted to cancel both

@Noctu so you want to terminate two lines ? If that’s the case then both have to be paid off and the price you got is for both lines to be terminated. If you have any add to plan items these also have to paid off.

I'm a wee bit confused. So I have one account which has 2 lines (mine and my husband's). Both of them are 28 days away from the contract end date. I still don't understand why I have an early termination fee? Sorry - any clarity would be much appreciated!!

Because you have 28 days left. If you cancel before the contract end date a fee will apply. To avoid it you'd have to time your switch for when the contract ends

You don't cancel & get a PAC at the same time. It's 1 or t'other. If you get a PAC & it is used by your new network to port your no. before your min. term date you will incur early termination fees.
When you ask now about cancelling you are told the exit fees as of now, not for 30 days time.
