Changing direct debt details

I want to change my direct debt details with credit card but it is asking for account number and sort code

A direct debit is a regular payment made from a bank account. You may be getting confused with a "continuous credit card authority" which is different, and allows regular payments to be charged to a card.

EE allow manual payments to be made with a credit card as & when required, I don't believe they support continuous authorities.

Are you on contract or PAYG?

A DD is a call upon your bank a/c not on a bank card. On contract you may pay your bill with a bank card only manually. On PAYG you may set up an auto Direct Card Payment.
