Hi
I'm out of contract with EE and would like to move to another provider. I've notified EE and received a PAC code. The message received from EE states that if I were to leave EE today, the total charge would be £0. My question is whether, if I leave part way through a billing month, will I still be charged for the whole month or will it be pro-rated so that I just pay for the part of the month before I transferred to a new provider? As I said, I'm out of contract so there's no early termination charges or anything to pay - I just don't get if I have to wait until 11th August to move as that's when my billing period runs to each month.
Thank you!

You'll be charged a full month in advance as usual until you port out. Within 30 days of your effective cancellation date you'll then receive a final bill with any relevant charges or credits, such as a pro-rated credit if you left part-way through a billing month.
I would recommend keeping your direct debit active so that this can take place automatically as it provides a mechanism for the credit to be returned to your bank account when your EE account is closed. The DD will then automatically be removed after your final bill and subsequent closure of your account. Otherwise you would have to call and get any credits manually refunded.

Your final bill will be pro-rated & you will get a refund for any time you are off EE. Don't cancel any DD.
