I’ve received an email from DRS (my-drs.co.uk) saying I owe on an old EE account but I never got any email or notice from EE directly about this payment. I contacted them using the email on their website, but they’re asking for my full name, address, and date of birth for “data protection.” Can you confirm if EE actually uses DRS for debt collection and if this sounds legitimate?

Hi @Log77.
To get this confirmed I would recommend speaking with our customer care team.
The team can confirm if money is owed and what agency the balance is sitting with.

Personally, if a debt collection agency wants my personal details in this fashion I'd be sorely minded to ignore them and move on.
I don't see that any good can come of your providing them. As regards the alleged debt, unless you're confident this debt is valid - then I'd consider it upto them to prove you owe, not upto you to disprove it. Putting the burden of proof on you is a scammers charter.
