Can’t seem to cancel my contract

Hello,

Has anyone had trouble cancelling a contract? I have been with EE for years, but can get a new contract elsewhere cheaper. I cancelled a few weeks ago, with an end date of 20th May.

That date came and when I checked for a final bill, it said my contract was still active. spoke to EE again and the guy informed me it hadn’t been cancelled and confirmed cancellation again (for 3 weeks later that initially requested). After some back and forth he changed the cancellation date to the next day (6th May)

I’ve been trying to change my number to my new provider but have been having issues, just checked on EE app and it still says my contract is active. I really can’t seem to cancel this stupid contract and I don’t know what else to do.

Why not get your PAC from EE to port your no. to your preferred network & give it to them? When your no. is ported it will auto cancel your EE contract.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

EE have never claimed to be the cheapest provider but do take pride in their network quality, if cost is your primary driver then alternative options are plenty!

If you want to port your number, then do not cancel your contract but request a PAC - follow "how do I switch provider and take my number with me?" on https://ee.co.uk/help/profile/leaving-ee/cancel-my-contract-with-ee
