Hi. I’m a current BT customer and want to switch to EE to take advantage of the cheaper sim only deals. My work provides us with a discount also we have a blue light card. When I tried to order with either, it said “you don’t need to inform a previous provider if it’s BT, log in to see your personalised offers” to which it redirects me away and the broadband is more expensive.
I asked on chat and they said as an existing customer (of BT and not EE) I can’t have the discounts. Now the terms and conditions on the blue light discount say nothing about new customers only. Unfortunately I thought the code I had could be entered later and as it turns out the order went through for 900mb broadband for £60.99 instead of the blue light price of £39.99 plus a tablet for £1
second to this, I ordered 2 sim only esims on the top package, only for the person on chat to order me the iPhone specific ones which I can’t select the Xbox game pass and Netflix on.
does anyone know of the discount for broadband can be added and the sims be changed to where the included extras for Xbox and Netflix can be amended ?
not a great start to a new subscription.

Hi @Yan0132
Sorry to hear of your confusing experience ordering a transfer to EE Broadband.
Discounts can only be added at point of order, so you if you've already placed an order but you're services are not up and running yet, you'd need to cancel the order and reprocess it.
It may be worth contacting the BT Broadband team for processing your order to EE Broadband.
With your EE mobile SIMs, please call Customer Service directly where a guide can change your SIM plan type if needed.
BT and EE. Better as one.
