Bill payment

I have a direct debit setup on my account. However, I changed it recently, and I am not sure of the account that was going to be debited, so I made I payment. The estimated amount is 71 pounds but I made 72. Will I still be directly debited?

@Smoove8448 : Yes, if you set the DD up correctly. If you have a DD in operation when you make a manual payment on or soon after your billing date, it is then too late to stop the DD being auto taken in full. Now the extra will be used as credit against your next bill. It won't show on your a/c until the next bill.
