Is there an issue with upgrades?
I am trying to upgrade from a sim only from £11 pm to a 36 month plan for £24 but after putting in salary range it's telling me I can't afford that. I put in one of the higher brackets so it's nonsense to think I can't afford that. Excellent credit score etc. Called up but got the same when spoke to 150.
If this is not an glitch then this is another reason to leave EE.

@tsfmbarr If you've already got a couple of FlexPay contracts then this will affect the affordability too - it's a different kind of product to a traditional contract so the guidelines around it are a bit different.
I'm really glad to hear that our team have managed to help you find a contract that suits though, and thanks for taking the time to come back and let us know too!

I have just tried applying for a new £77 a month contract.
I am paying £80 now, I earn 60k a year, I have been with EE for years and my credit rating is 1000 out of 1000
According to them , I can't afford a new phone and plan cheaper than what I am paying????

Hi there @easty.
Welcome to the EE Community!
From what you've described here, it sounds like you're applying for one of our new Flex Pay contracts.
These work differently to a traditional mobile contract and is a separate finance agreement on the handset, so it does feature its own unique credit check.
I would recommend double checking all of the details you've entered are correct - I've come across similar queries in the past where customers have been declined due to a typo in their salary details or address, and correcting them has resolved the issue.
Even if you are still declined though, you should still be able to look at the options for standard 24 month subsidy plans, and if you give our team a call they can look over these options with you too.
