My current contract for my phone ends at the back end of this month, If I was to add an IPhone 13 to my current account when my contract ends on my current phone, Would the payments stop for my current phone? Obviously I would stop using it and transfer my info to the new iPhone 13. I can’t find the information I need to confirm if this is correct.

@Decroberts : You need to upgrade your contract to an iPhone 13 to stop paying for your current contract, not take out an additional line. This will replace the current contract with the new 1.
These mobile contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel or upgrade.

@XRaySpeX So I could cancel my iPhone 11 contract when I’ve completed it at the end of this month and then add the new phone? I’ve already got an existing extra device on the contract so the contract would carry on anyway

No, not if you want to keep same no. You need to upgrade.
