Plusnet advised me I need to switch provider due to home phones going digital. They suggested EE and I clicked on a few options. EE seem to have geared up the switching date etc. but I am confused by an email from Plusnet saying 'sorry you are leaving etc.. I am now in a panic that in a few days my email will vanish and home phone number lost. Am i right to panic?

If you've ordered from EE then you are leaving PN.

You should be able to retain your PN email addy. It is now administered by Greenby, I think.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

@Silversven Call PN and find out, think you may have to sort out all the e-mail stuff if you are looking to retain the PN e-mail address you have, the message may have been because you looked when you entered the Address and phone line number into the EE System as a standard message, did you commit and order EE Broadband and Digital Voice from them......

PN will be able to say if you did that! If you have joined EE via the OTS system, PN will keep the lights on so to speak until you are fully on the EE system, e-mail YOU ARE better to check out on the PN side or possible the PN Forum best way to retain that and NOT lose it! There seems to be a 2 year limit on the PN e-mail if so then start looking at similar types and see if you can get the same name but with @Gmail, @outlook etc, then start letting you contacts all know what you are doing.

Can I transfer email providers but still keep my P... - Plusnet Community

All about what is needed PN Email etc.....

Email - Plusnet Community

The PlusNet Forum team is exactly the same as the EE Forum Team and also the BT Forum team, they will be fully knowledgeable to the Ins/Out's of moves from One to Other and what you get to keep or lose.....

Plusnet

Plusnet is the only other major broadband provider to have offered a provider email address in the past.

It previously didn't charge ex-customers to continue using their Plusnet email address. But in 2025, it announced that it would start charging £15 a month for those who choose to continue using it.
