gaming Nat type - issue with EE boardband box- BT to EE customer

Hi to anyone that needs to see this.

So I’ve had issues with Nat Type since I switched from BT to EE in store. Staying at moderate and even going to strict one

This issue I found was that the EE hub doesn’t have a great deal of plug and play features, in the advance setting,

spent many hours trying setting and guidance from online forums with no luck….

however the old Bt smart hub I had did work completely fine before I got The ee box.  I plugged it back and had no issues so I’m keeping it, and called EE up about it.

don't get me wrong if your not gaming and just want internet for the general day to day stuff. It’s fine.  But if you want to game then just call up and keep your old hub, EE won’t charge you and you get send the new one back.

i will update if I do get charged as I’ve only just called them up about keeping the old Bt smart hub

i know i haven’t been the first for this issue and I know I won’t be the last. The only issue I can foresee is that people will probably sent back there old Bt hub before reading this post which I’m sorry you’re going through this issue currently

@JJ5050100 What BT Smart hub do you have?

I currently have the smart hub 2

a few months ago before I switched to ee, I had a BT technician come out to do a health test on the router and modem as it was a new build and hadn’t been checked for 5 years.

he said that the smart hubs are better than any of the new Ee’s ones which I told ee that in store when I was going a new phone contract and they mentioned all this switch over stuff.

the good news is that I get to keep the smart hub and definitely won’t get charge from a email I got from ee confirming it
