connecting existing phone line to router

Hi just been changed from BT to EE. I cannot connect my cordless phone line to the new router the connector does not fit into the back of the new router. Any help please?

@Anitahorth : Which EE router do you have? Does it have a green Phone socket? A cordless base station should fit into that.

Hi thanks for replying itbis a Smart HUB plus and it does have a green socket at the back of router but the slot is a straight slot and my phone line is a square one and obviously will not slot onto back of router

The standard BT plug for a standard BT socket is an oblong that fits into the Green router socket like: WIN_20240402_15_34_29_Pro.jpg

 It's the other end of the same cable that plugs into the phone itself that is more square like:WIN_20240402_15_42_46_Pro.jpg
