Wifi extender pro 7 constantly flashes green.

So I've just  had my service installed, jumped over from ZEN. i HAVE THE 1.6Gb package that comes with the smart hub 7 pro and the WiFi extender pro 7 . The smart hub itself set up with no issues and i have all y my wifi devices connected. For the life of me though i cant get the extender  to connect. its constantly flashing green and refused to enter wps mode.

Steps tried..
reset, reboot and try wps....flashing green.

reset, power down, hard wire it to the hub via ethernet, reboot.... Flashes green and the hub cant see it on the LAN port its connected to no matter how long i leave it plugged in.

reset, power down  for an hour and try both processes again...exact same result.

Is the extender knackered? I'm seeing a lot of posts from people having issues with them. Should i contact customer support or do they actively check the forums?
