Wifi Enhancer - why isn't this standard?

So I've just signed up to Wi-Fi enhancer in an effort to reduce random lag spikes when gaming (specifically on The Finals).  I have to say initial impressions are that it works very well but I do wonder why this isn't standard and why the standard QoS in the Smart Hub is not already optimised for time sensitive traffic.  I've never had to subscribe to an additional service to get decent gaming QoS before so it does seem like something isn't right here.

I guess my point is that previously routers I've had passed gaming traffic at low latency without having to make any specific QoS changes so why do I have to have a special coniguration on EE.

Strangely though I have Gamepass in my subscription but that's paired with All Rounder.
