I changed from BT to EE some months ago but EE network states ‘unsecure network’ I’ve mentioned on telephone calls and agents seem to imply it’s a prob with my iPhone and iPad. I can still access BT network via settings as it’s secure and have been continuing to do so as worried about an unsecure network. Can I continue to use BT and any ideas re EE unsecure network. I mentioned to staff member in shop and he said an unsecure network is ok, but I won’t use it
Not finding EE very helpful plus I was charged for BT and EE for months and I’ve only just resolved it.
Lasr time I spoke to someone they checked the network and said it was ok and that I needed to check my devices.
Id welcome any advise please

@Maeville are you connecting to the public EE WiFi when you see this message, or to your roter unique WiFi name?
It sounds as though you are either still using a BT Router or you used the App which renamed your new router to the same name as the BT one.
This is the public EE WiFi service https://ee-wifi.ee.co.uk/public/ee/index.htm

@Maeville Apple ios devices do prefer to use the latest WPA3 secure connection protocol, and when they find less than this version they will automatically throw up the less than secure message. Which home broadband router do you have?

I’m having the same issue. Whenever I turn on mobile data when away from home it says EE Wi-Fi .. unsecured network.? And I keep getting pop ups saying unverified sender & google unverified.? I have a iPhone 8 all updated. The EE Wi-Fi mobile data is rubbish aswell I get no connection when inside buildings. When I was a BT customer I had no problems with mobile data.

@Hellsb same as above, if you are getting that message when you are connected to Wi-Fi it’s because it’s not the latest secure protocol. You are connect to the same cellular network that you used when you was a BT customer.

Thanks for coming to the community 🙂
Does the happen on your home WiFi network or when you're connecting to another WiFi network?
What device are you using?
Thanks.
Leanne.
