WLAN Link Speed Incorrect

Hi there!

I am currently signed up with EE for Fibre Max 900, with 900down and 100up. However on the router manager the WLAN Link speed is showing as 100Mbps, and the downstream and upstream rates are both saying 100Mbps instead of 900/100. Is there anything I can do to change this or is it a case of calling in?

I have checked my account and it is still showing Max 900, suggesting that I haven't been downgraded from EE's end??

I believe the up/down WAN speed is the speed reported by the router is the speed between the router and the ONT.  When I first had FTTP installed the speeds my router reported were also around 100Mb, in my case I found the ethernet cable between ONT and Router was faulty. Replacing the cable "fixed" the issue and the router now reports 1000Mbps/1000Mbps - which is the line speed the router sees on the connection to the ONT.

But I don't think the router will ever report the contracted speed (e.g. 900/100.)

No I think you’re right as when I initially had it did display 1000/1000 I believe. I thought that the router manager displayed contracted speed and not what it was actually getting, which makes a lot of sense now that it would be a faulty Ethernet cable and not a problem on EE’s side
