Urgent: Openreach Engineer No-Show - Still waiting for installation

Hi everyone,

I’m writing to express my extreme frustration regarding my scheduled broadband installation today. An Openreach engineer was supposed to visit this morning to set up my EE internet, but no one has arrived yet, and I have received no updates or contact details.

I was explicitly warned that I would be charged a missed appointment fee if I wasn't home, so I cancelled all my personal commitments to ensure I was available. I have been waiting all morning, and the lack of communication is unacceptable.

Could a moderator please look into this or provide a direct way to contact the dispatch team? I need this resolved immediately as I cannot continue to wait indefinitely.

Thank you.

You'll need to call CS to express your frustration & to arrange another appointment. There is no direct way to contact OR or the "dispatch team". You are not their cust.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

@elliotleem It happens, did OR not text regarding the installation etc, that sometimes happens also but has to be confirmed.

If the Engineer did get delayed and is now a no show, also not all off the work is done at the installation site, the EE will send you a text or e-mail to reschedule the appointment, but that will not be until it is confirmed later today or tomorrow after the engineer reports failed installation.
