So agreed to sign up to full fibre install date was 18th September, BT openreach contractor turned up (MJ Quinn) ripped out copper landline connection and installed modem on wall etc but no connection red light, said nothing he can do and left, contacted EE was told had to wait 48hours rang them back can’t get anyone from openreach until 25th, 25th cones and goes no sign of anyone no pho calls, I chase up to EE in Doncaster  no real answers phoned everyday still no service eventually told last Friday wait until the 1st had engineer booking details come through thought we’d get somewhere, contractor turns up, here for full install? I said you joking, why what’s the issue told him not getting light to the pole he said oh that will need a different level of engineer I’ll call him now, they turn up here for an hour and low and behold they can’t fix it either oh it’s not coming to end of street need a different engineer has to go back to open reach! I have a disabled wife the phone signal in property not good at moment and no internet or landline now for two weeks and nobody seems to care can’t get anyone from EE to push this just seems to get lost in between messages, I need someone to speak to on this but only get call centre workers no actual people in the Openreach process need HELP at at my wits end with all this now it’s not funny anymore!

Hi @RichardMc22

Welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had this problem with your installation. In instances like this, our Customer Care team will be able to raise this with Openreach to try and get it fixed as soon as possible.

Have they advised you when the next appointment will be with an engineer?

Chris

Been speaking to the connections team and they been in contact with open reach but it’s taking weeks to resolve as no updates get fed back they sent an engineer out this morning, and they were under the impression of doing a full install so the message is not getting through correctly somewhere, my wife has serious medical issues and doctors and hospital will try ringing the house phone ( landline) as that’s the number that’s registered with them, so could be missing important calls now but nobody seems to get the message!

OK, thanks for explaining some more, @RichardMc22

I understand why this is so important, and I'd like to try and get you some help with this. I've sent you a private message to get some information from you. Could you have a look and get back to me please?

Thanks

Chris

Will be contacting BBC watchdog and Ofcom as don’t feel ya going to be a quick fix and reading other people’s posts don’t think I’m the only person that feels let down by poor communication
