Upgrade not availible

Hi everyone, 
I am currently on the 900meg package and my contracted ended a few months back. I want to upgrade to the 1.6gb package but it's not coming up in my options. It is available in my area as it is an option for new customers even at my address. Any ideas or should I just cancel and go with Virgin's 2gb offering?

Currently there is no path from < 1 Gig FF to 1.6 Gig FF. They are diff provisioning systems.

@Ian2097 Just call EE CS and see why you cannot get the Upgrade to the 1.6Gb/s from your FF900 currently. VM is a completely new FF install but it does work well son has it with the 5x VM Hub, you do need to use the 10Gb/s Ethernet port to get up there speed wise, wireless wifi does not cut it in the slightest.

Interestingly EE have introduced £30 set up fee for 900mb and 1.6GB plans

The change means that, from later this morning, new customers of BT and EE will need to pay a £30 one-off activation fee, which drops to £20 for Plusnet customers. The lower price for Plusnet probably reflects their greater use of older and often re-branded BT/EE kit.

History tends to show that were BT leads on pricing, others will follow. So don’t be surprised if we slowly start to see other ISPs following their lead and giving the same reason.

@JimM11  If you look at Broadband offers for new customers it is currently only being applied to the two top tiers

@Ewan15 No problem, never ever going to get me back in the EE Fold. Wonder why PN are doing the same, must be on there FF900 also. EE doing FTTP with the one off £30 also as with the top two and the bottom two packages.
