Hi
I have just joined EE broadband from BT. I have a landline and have paid for Unlimited Minutes & International. I have looked on the “EE phone USA from broadband” and it states that calls to USA landlines are included but it has double asterisk against it which says calls to USA & Canada mobiles are also included. I would like to confirm this is the case before I phone my daughter on her mobile in the USA and not wanting a huge bill for doing so. I am a little confused as some of the information on the EE website seems contradictory. Hope someone can help or confirm.
Regards Colin

So, that's not contradictory. It says calls to landlines in 50 countries are included & then goes on to say that so are mobiles in USA & Canada.
See Home phone call costs :
Anytime UK and international calls add-on
Calls to UK landlines starting 01, 02, 03; and 1,500 minutes to call UK mobile numbers (excluding Jersey and Guernsey), when using your landline at any time.
Calls to international landline numbers in 50 countries; plus a 30% discount on our standard rates for calls from your UK landline to all other international landlines, when using your landline at any time.
Includes calls to landlines in 50 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy (including Vatican City), Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey and USA. You can also make calls to standard mobiles in Canada and USA. There's a 1,000 minute fair use policy for inclusive international calls.
Does your daughter have a US or UK no.? If it's a UK no. all this doesn't apply as you would just be calling normally another UK no. It would be her that's roaming, not you.

@ColinH34 USA and Canada do not have a mobile only number system like anywhere else. Mobiles are just like landline call numbers....

Hi
Sorry, maybe contradictory was the wrong word. It’s just that I have read various threads on this community where people have thought they were getting calls free or a discounted rate that I just wanted to check. My daughter has lived in the USA for the last 20 years and has her own cell or mobile (no landline). We used to have a Friends & Family add on with BT which gave us a substantial discount rate. It looks as though I am worrying needlessly and will just give her a 10 minute call and see what happens on my bill.
Many thanks for your reply

Thanks for the reply Jim . It looks like then, that the calls will be covered by Unlimited minutes & International.
