Threatening debt collectors after order was cancelled

Having transferred from BT to EE, the order kept getting cancelled but the system still sent out 3 lots of kit. When we finally got the order accepted the operator was surprised when I told here we had all this equipment. She sent out the return bags which we duly sent back all the equipment. I thought that was the end of it. About 3 weeks later I received a letter of non payment of £14. After numerous phone calls I got someone helpful , they said no further action would take place as they were looking in to it. It turns out as the returns were not requested it would take longer to find it. Turns out i was sent BT returns sticker, so I had to phone BY myself and request an email to say they had received the 4g box. I got the email and sent it off. But today got a letter saying I owed £74 and it was being handed over to a debt collector company. I hoping to resolve this on Wednesday when I next speak to EE. But what happens when the Debt collectors turn up demanding payment for something I don’t owe. As it seems to be computer driven and the human workers can’t stop  it . Who do I contact in EE to stop this. I’ve spent over 6 hours on the phone!!!
